Select Board reviews governance frameworks in work session
Select Board · Meeting of April 14, 2026
SUTTON — The Sutton Select Board discussed two governance frameworks in a work session but deferred votes pending revision. Town Manager Austin Cyganiewicz unveiled the Sutton Leadership Group, a six-member voting body drawn equally from the Select Board, School Committee, and Finance Committee, designed to coordinate budget planning and multiyear financial forecasting with non-binding advisory authority. Vice Chair Jonathan Anderson presented a parallel Governance Framework and Board Norms document, which Select Board member James Ettamarna recommended splitting into a concise policy summary and a fuller reference guide.
Town Clerk Laura Caruso urged condensing the lengthy document. Both drafts will return to a regular meeting for formal consideration after revision.
