Select Board · Meeting of February 3, 2026

SUTTON — The Sutton Select Board convened in a work session to hear from Mission CIT consultants John Thompson and Jerry Winkler on the scope of a comprehensive Fire Strategic Plan underway in town. The consultants outlined a five-year data review including response times, site visits, and a public listening session, with a 60-day timeline to completion before technical review and public hearings begin. Fire Chief Belsito and Town Manager Austin Cyganiewicz attended.

Board members questioned equipment adequacy for future housing development, firefighter recruitment trends, rising emergency medical services call volume, and opportunities for regional service consolidation. Cyganiewicz confirmed the final plan presentation will be televised.
