Sutton Health Board OKs Septic Repair Variance
Board of Health · Meeting of June 11, 2026
Sutton Board of Health approves septic variance review, advances PFAS testing near transfer station. Members Ron Sansouci, Colleen Rosales and Amy Valletta approved, on a review-only basis, a septic repair at 126 Manchaw Road sited just 10 feet from the street and within roughly 100 feet of a neighbor's well, pending Conservation Commission sign-off. An engineer on the project, identified only as Steve, said the system is "tucked right up in there" between the well, the lake and the street.
The board also learned a licensed site professional tested three more addresses within 500 feet of the town's PFAS-affected transfer station, with one property non-responsive and results still pending. Separately, members noted the closure of Aura Longevity and Wellness, an infusion-therapy business, and a food-plan filing to repair a kitchen damaged when a car crashed through it. Members approved the February 24 minutes and leaned toward a tentative next meeting on the 21st.
