Sutton Annual Town Meeting approves $42.3M operations budget and $2M capital plan. The fiscal year 2027 general budget of $42,309,772 includes education at $23,199,915 and public safety at $3,943,280, funded through $41.4 million in tax revenue plus transfers from Health Insurance Stabilization, Capital Stabilization, Special Education Stabilization, and enterprise funds. Capital projects include a $370,000 highway equipment replacement, $175,000 fire department tow vehicle, and $160,000 in school HVAC improvements and engineering study.

The Planning Board's amendment to General Bylaws Section 27.7, requiring commercial and industrial facilities to seal or properly connect floor drains in hazardous materials areas, passed unanimously to protect groundwater; a voter-sponsored proposal to study a Proposition 2 1/2 override was defeated.
